Cabinet Beds Canada

A cabinet bed is a real bed hidden inside a freestanding cabinet about the size of a dresser. Closed, it looks like a handsome dresser. Open, it is a proper bed with the mattress included. Unlike a Murphy bed, it does not attach to your wall, so you can move it to another room, or another home, whenever you want. No drilling, no wall mounting, no installation crew.

Forward Furniture is home of the Olivia cabinet bed. Closed, the Olivia measures 62.5" wide, 24" deep and 40" tall. Open, it is a true queen bed with a 6" memory foam mattress. The current price is always on the Olivia product page.

Under 30 seconds. No ladders and no lifting a heavy panel over your head. Pull the handle, fold out the legs, and the bed is ready. When your guests leave, it closes just as quickly and the room goes back to being your office, den or living room.

Ontario's median condo has shrunk 32% since the 1970s, from 965 sq ft to just 658 sq ft, so it is no surprise that furniture which gives you a room back is having a moment.

Open, the Olivia needs about 5 feet of clear floor in front of the cabinet (62.5" W x 83" L). It fits through standard doorways and hallways, so it works in condos, basements and upstairs bedrooms. The real hardwood frame supports up to 750 lbs.
