"Best sectional sofa" searches almost always come down to three real questions: does it face the right way in my room (reversible), is it actually L-shaped or something else, and does it have anywhere to put the spare blankets (storage). Category names get thrown around loosely by every retailer, ours included until now, so this guide answers those three questions honestly and prices real sectionals off our own live catalogue today.
The Short Answer
If storage matters, look at a sectional that says so in its own name, not just "sectional." If the chaise has to work on either side of the room depending on the day, look for "reversible" specifically, most sectionals are NOT reversible once assembled. And L-shaped is the default shape for almost everything sold as a sectional in Canada, it is not a premium feature on its own, size and material move the price far more than the letter of the shape.
What "Reversible" and "L-Shaped" Actually Mean
An L-shaped sectional is a sofa built from more than one section, one long run plus a chaise that turns a corner, forming an L. That is the shape almost every "sectional" sold in Canada already is, so seeing "L-shaped" in a listing is a description, not an upgrade.

A reversible chaise is not sewn permanently to one end, the seat and legs can be moved so the chaise sits on the left or the right. That matters if your doorway, TV wall, or the shape of the room could go either way, or if you might move in a year or two and want the sofa to still work in the next place.
Storage: Which of Our Sectionals Actually Have It
This is the part worth checking model by model. On our current lineup, the Dyno and Jordan both build a lift-up storage compartment into the chaise seat, and the Venice pairs that storage with a reversible chaise, so it can face either direction. The Porter trades that under-seat space for built-in cup holders instead, a real difference in what you get, not just styling.
Real Prices, Cheapest to Most Expensive
Every figure below is in Canadian dollars, read off our own live product pages today, available-for-sale variants only.
Model What it is Price Venice Sleeper sectional, reversible storage chaise $1,199.00 Dyno Reversible sectional, sleeper, storage $1,199.99 Porter Sleeper sectional, cup holders $1,399.99 Jordan Sleeper sectional, storage chaise $1,449.99 Lindyn Large-format sectional, multiple configurations $1,849.99 to $5,459.99 Chessington Corner-chaise sectional, multiple sizes $2,739.99 to $3,559.99 Emilia Premium sectional, multiple configurations $2,899.99 to $8,699.99 The spread is real: a sleeper sectional with storage starts around $1,199.00, and the largest configuration of our most expensive model runs to $8,699.99. Size and the number of pieces move that number more than "L-shaped" or "sectional" as a category ever will, both words describe almost everything on this list.
If You Already Have a Model in Mind
Two names on this list, Lindyn and Ashbourne Estate, get searched by name on Google against our own site already, more than most of our other sectionals, even though neither has ever had a dedicated page to land on. If you came here already knowing a name, it is worth going straight to that product page rather than reading through a general guide, we link the ones covered here directly in the table above.
Warranty, Trial and Returns
As of our September 2026 policy update, every sectional on this page, not just a "premium" tier, carries a 3-year manufacturer warranty (ours or the maker's, whichever is longer) on defects in materials and workmanship, plus a 90-day home trial. If it is not right, you have 90 days to send it back for a full refund, unused and in the original box. It goes back to one of our stores in Kelowna, Calgary or Edmonton, you cover return shipping or drop it off, and there is no restocking fee. The only exception is a true custom order, your own fabric or a custom configuration, which is final sale.
Shipping
Shipping is a flat rate set by your order total, from $49 to $249, not a fixed number for every sectional. A cheaper sleeper sectional and an $8,000 configuration of the Emilia land in different bands, so check the number at checkout rather than assuming one price covers everything on this page.
Small Living Room? What Actually Changes
Shape matters less than footprint. A reversible chaise lets you point the sectional whichever way clears the most walking space, which matters more in a smaller room than in a large one. Before buying, measure the full footprint of the piece, chaise included, plus the doorway or hallway it has to travel through and the walking space you want left over. We cover the exact measuring method, with real dimensions, in our sectional sofa dimensions guide, rather than repeating it here.
One more thing worth saying honestly: if the room this sectional sits in also has to work as an occasional guest room, a sectional will not solve that by itself, even a sleeper model folds out a thin pad, not a real mattress. A freestanding cabinet bed closes to look like a cabinet and opens onto an actual mattress, worth a look if that room is doing double duty.
How to Decide
Pick a model that names the feature you actually need, storage, reversible, or sleeper, rather than assuming "sectional" or "L-shaped" implies any of them. Confirm the footprint fits before you buy, and check the individual product page for the exact configuration and price, they vary more within one model than between "budget" and "premium" categories do.
Best Sectional Sofas in Canada FAQ
What does “reversible” mean on a sectional sofa?
It means the chaise end can sit on the left or the right, so the same sofa can face either way in a room. On a true reversible model the chaise is not sewn to one side, you flip the cushions and legs so it works whichever wall your doorway or TV is on.
What is the actual difference between an L-shaped sectional and a regular sectional?
“Sectional” just means a sofa built from more than one section. “L-shaped” is the most common layout, one long run plus a chaise turning a corner. Other sectional shapes exist (U-shaped, curved), but almost everything sold as a sectional in Canada is L-shaped.
Do sectional sofas come with storage?
Some do, most don't. It depends on the specific model, not the category. On our own lineup, the storage lives under the chaise seat on some models and is swapped for built-in cup holders on others, so check the individual listing rather than assuming.
How much does a sectional sofa cost in Canada?
On our own catalogue today, prices for full sectionals run from about $1,199 up past $6,000, depending mostly on size, fabric or leather, and whether it includes a pull-out sleeper or storage. The shape (L-shaped vs. straight) changes price less than the material and size do.
What warranty comes with a sectional sofa here?
As of our September 2026 policy update, every sectional we sell carries a 3-year manufacturer warranty (ours or the maker's, whichever is longer) on defects in materials and workmanship, plus a 90-day home trial. It is not limited to our higher-end pieces.
How do I know what size sectional will actually fit my living room?
Measure the full footprint of the piece (including the chaise) and the doorway or hallway it has to travel through, then add walking clearance around it. We cover the exact method, with real dimensions, in our sectional sofa dimensions guide, linked below.
